I did then when I was first getting into anime. I was also learning Illustrator at the time and my friend had introduced me to the world of gradient meshes. This peice took forever and a day to do but I think it turned out quite well. For those of you familiar with gradient meshes I have included a screen shot of how the meshes look. ^_^ Now you can see why it took so long .
